In short
- We collect only what you type into our waiting-list form, plus the basic technical data every website receives.
- We use it to tell you when a bed opens and to answer you.
- We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and our website sets no cookies.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time.
Who is responsible
MIA Crash Pad (miacrashpad.com) is run by Rent Latino LLC, 612 54th St, West Palm Beach, FL 33407 (“we”, “us”). For anything about your data, write to info@miacrashpad.com.
What we collect
What you send us. Only the details you enter in our waiting-list form: name, email, WhatsApp number (optional), preferred language, desired start month and base. We never ask for ID documents, ID numbers, your date of birth or card numbers through this website, and you cannot upload files to it.
When you email us: your email address, your name if you give it, and what you write. When you email our info@ address, the email reaches our mailbox (Gmail). An AI assistant reads it to sort it: needs a reply, a notice, or junk. For our overview we keep the sender, the subject, a one-line summary and a link to the email, for 90 days; the email itself stays in our mailbox until we delete it.
When we text you. We send text messages only to people who ask for them, by ticking the separate texting box on our form, and in reply to people who text us first. The box is optional: you can send the form without it. Our texts are about the waiting list and your application: notices that a bed is free and interview reminders, up to 2 messages per month. For texting we keep your mobile number, the messages we exchange, and a record of your consent: when you gave it, on which form, and the wording you agreed to. Our phone provider, Twilio, sends and delivers the texts. We send no marketing texts, and we text only between 8 am and 8 pm US Eastern time. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Our terms describe the texting program. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
What your browser sends. Like every website, ours receives your IP address, your browser type and the page you asked for. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, receives these to deliver the page and to protect the site against attacks. The service that receives our form keeps its request logs for 30 days, for security and to fix faults. When you send the form, your IP address is also held in our server’s memory for up to 10 minutes, to stop spam. It is never written down.

The privacy box on the form confirms that you have read this policy and want us to contact you about your request. The separate texting box is optional and covers text messages only. We send no newsletters or marketing emails.
A person reads every form. Nothing is decided automatically about you.
Who handles your data for us
We use a few service providers. They handle your data only on our instructions.

We never sell or rent your data. We give it to authorities only when the law requires it.
If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies to that chat.
Data sent outside your country
We are based in the United States, so what you send us may be processed there.
How long we keep it
- Waiting list: 6 months. We ask before we keep you on it longer.
- Emails: 12 months after our last exchange.
- Texts: our phone provider, Twilio, keeps its own record of each text (the number, the time and the message) under its standard retention.
- Records of your consent to texts: while we text you, then 4 years after you reply STOP, to show that you agreed. After STOP, your number stays on our opt-out list so that we never text it again.
- Request logs of our form service: 30 days.
Then we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- limit how we use it, or object to a use based on our legitimate interest;
- send it to you or to someone else in a common format;
- stop using it where you gave consent. This doesn’t affect what we did before.
Write to info@miacrashpad.com. It’s free, and we answer within one month. To protect you, we may ask you to write from the email address you used with us. We offer these rights to everyone, wherever you live. You can also complain to a data-protection authority: in the EU or EEA, the one in your country; in the UK, the ICO; in Brazil, the ANPD.
Security
The whole site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Form answers are kept in a database that only the Owner can open, by signing in. Our website never handles card numbers or ID documents.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
Changes
Before we add more forms, a phone line or bookings, we will update this policy and the date at the top.
